Beautifully decorated Shofar with Jerusalem and Fish on the sides by an artist Sarit Romano on a sea blue background. Jerusalem being the Holy City of G~d decorated lies on golden brown color between the sea blue painted color. On the front is written the word "Isarael".
In the Scriptures, the word shofar first occurs in Exodus 19:16 when the Torah was first given to Israel - Shavuot (i.e., "Pentecost"): "On the morning of the third day there were thunders and lightnings and a thick cloud on the mountain and a very loud shofar blast, so that all the people in the camp trembled. And as the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and G~d answered him in thunder." This shofar blast is sometimes called the "first trumpet" of G~d.
